The Continental celebrated its official re-opening on October 19th, 2002. Work on the interior continues, but many apartments are occupied and the building is now filled with life.

The exterior has been meticulously cleaned and gleams brilliantly in sunlight.

The building gleams at night, too; the rooftop antennae tower has a new neon beacon, which displays patterns of red and green light, and the building is floodlit from its various upper-level setbacks, as was the original design intention.

Even the once-shattered clock has been carefully replaced.
