Later the East St. Louis Public Library
409 N. 9th Street
The old East St. Louis Public Library stands at 9th Street and Martin Luther King Drive. Originally home to the Elks Club, it was later converted to public use and given a front addition in the 1960s.
Today it stands abandoned, replaced by a cheerful new building on the southeastern edge of town.
