The Slow Death of 1900 Montgomery Street
The buldging wall portends doom.
The shattered, littered, watered interior. Renovation would have required a complete gut rehab.
Three wythes of brick and a stone sill. They don't build 'em like this anymore.

1900-1902 Montgomery Street
A twin -- two houses in one. The doors have lost their stoops. Vacancy began in 1999.
This LRA-owned property already had a visible bulge when I first photographed it; by 2004, it had become alarmingly prominent. The house was demolished in the fall of 2005, along with the ruins of neighboring 1904 (incorrectly marked by LRA as 1906).
