Built St. Louis: The North Side

December 2002: This pair of buildings stands on the corner of Blair and Clinton Streets, across the street from the corner store on the previous page.
January 1999: The house in the background, with the massive hole, was demolished by 2001.
December 2002: The corner building has deteriorated badly. Unchecked, the loss of brick at the cornice would eventually cause the roof to collapse.
November 2005: Another spectacular gut rehab is reassembling the entire house brick by brick.
September 2006: The corner building has been reconstructed from the ground up.
