November 2005: Two beautifully kept homes at the eastern end of North Market. The streets ends just east of here at a large circular park that was one of three originally laid out as a public space when North St. Louis was a separate town. This is the only one to survive.

October 2002. Across the street, these two buildings have stood long abandoned.

November 2005: Though badly deteriorated, they survived long enough to be part of the wave of developer renovations sweeping up the street.
