The area may be at the beginning of a renaissance, however. The Taylor-Olive Building has undergone a superb renovation. January 2003.

Across the street, the Lister Building is also being reworked; however, the process so far has been problematic. The 1914 annex building was severely deteriorated, and was demolished in 1999, leaving only the main building as seen in this March 2001 photograph.

The beautiful church in the background is Second Presbyterian, designed by the same Theodore Link responsible for Union Station.
