9th Street parallels 8th Street geographically and in commercial prominence. It even features a comparable church, as the 9th Street Abbey sits almost back to back with Trinity Lutheran. Presently used as a banquet hall, the Abbey was for most of its history the Most Holy Trinity Slovak Catholic Church, who took over the 1897 building from St. Paul Evangelical Church in 1924.
