At the northern edge of the neighborhood, Riverview Boulevard is one of St. Louis's great scenic drives. The sylvan design, with a broad grassy median winding through low bluffs and charming houses, make a startling contrast with the occasional burnt-out or abandoned house that appears. Though Baden has avoided the bulk of the ills that afflict much of northern St. Louis, and appears fairly stable today, it has nevertheless lost income and population in the last fifty years.
